Dr Dorjee Rapten Neshar/CV

Dr. Dorjee Rapten Neshar is a senior physician at the Tibetan Medical Centre here in Bangalore which is one of the many units of Mentsee-Khang,Tibetan Medical Institutein Dharamsala, H.P. He graduated from the Tibetan Medical College in Dharamsala in1987 following which, he has served as a residential Tibetan doctor in several Tibetan settlements in South India before landing at Bangalore in 1992. Since than, he is
working as a chief physician at Bangalore based Tibetan Medical Centre.

With over 28 years of dedicated service in the practice of Tibetan Medicine, he has attended many National & International Conferences; presented many papers on Tibetan Medicine & has number of published articles to his credit. He is also actively involved in the Mentsee-khang’s
Clinical research studies where his team has carried out clinical efficacy of Tibetan herbs against the diabetes Mellitus and cancer cases, both in collaboration with the teams from All India Medical Institute of Science, New Delhi. His treatment results against cancer cases were also being studied by the CAM under NCI, Washington DC. While in Bangalore, he covers most of the South Indian cities like Chennai, Hyderabad, Kerala and Pondicherry etc for giving consultation and well being camps. In addition, he visits all the Tibetan settlements in South India on regular basis for giving health awareness talks and treatment as part of the official program on Disease Prevention and Community Health awareness.

Dr. Dorjee has also served as a chairman of the Central Council of Tibetan Medicine, Dharamsala from year 1997 to 1999.

In recognition of his outstanding services and contribution in the field of Alternative Medicine, Dr. Dorjee was awarded Shiromani Gold Medal and Gem of Alternative Medicine award in 1995 and 1996 respectively from Indian Board of Alternative Medicine, Kolkata. He also received
International award of Excellence from American Organisation of Intellectuals Inc, New York, USA for the outstanding services.
