2011. szeptember 23./ITN/TibetPress

Dharamsala, H.P.: With their visit at the Norbulingka Institute & the Gyuto Monastery at Sidhupur, the Burmese students and activists left Dharamsala with lots of inspiration and encouragement.
"This is my first visit to Dharamsala. Tibetans and the Burmese struggle have so much in common, " said Alana of Burma Centre in Delhi, "I feel that both of us have so much to learn from each other. The Tibetans are so organized and we are so inspired to see this sense of organization whether it's the resources or manpower. We want more Burmese to come and learn from here."
During their three-day stay, they witnessed the ongoing session of the 15th Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile, visited the various NGOs, schools, monasteries and engaged with Tibetan audience after an evening of documentary screening on Burma. They were blessed to have a special audience with His Holiness the Dalai Lama, despite his busy schedule due to the conference of the religious heads of the Tibetan Buddhism and Bon.
"The Burmese struggle is an inspiration for all the Tibetans. We salute their courage and the determination to fight for democracy in one of the most repressed military regimes in the world. Aung San Suu Kyi is a hero for all the Tibetans," said Tenzin Tsundue, President of the Regional Tibetan Youth Congress, Dharamsala, "The Burmese coming here have shared their personal stories of involvement in the struggle. These will have lasting impression among all the Tibetans here."
This visit was organized by the four Tibetan NGOs: Tibetan Women´s Association, the Regional Tibetan Youth Congress, Dharamsala, Gu Chu Sum Movement of Tibet and the Students for a Free Tibet, India.
