DHARAMSHALA, MAY 26: A day after the fifthInternational Rangzen Conference concluded here, another international conference began here earlier today on the Middle Way Approach, participated by over 500 people at the auditorium of the Tibetan Institute of Performing arts.
While the International Rangzen Conference had Sri. Ajay Singh Mankotia as a guest at its opening function, the Middle Way conference had his brother Sri Vijay Singh Makotia among the guests.
Members of Tibetan parliament, representatives of various Non Governmental Organizations, scholars and students are attending this first International Conference on Middle Way Approach.
Former Speaker of the Tibetan parliament Pema Jungney attended the opening function as the Chief Guest. Speaking on the occasion, Jungney said that there needs to be unity amongst the Tibetans irrespective of one’s political stand. “Whether one supports the Middle Way Approach or independence as a political stand, it is important that there is unity within us, because it is ultimately for the Tibetan cause,” said Jungney.
